Local 877 Scholarship Deadline Approaching!
Local 877 is offering seven $1,000 scholarships and one $2,000 scholarship to the children or grandchildren of current members who show dedication to education and the labor movement’s objectives.
Deadline has been extended to August 15, 2023.
To be eligible for an award, the student must:
- Be the child or grandchild of a current Local 877 member in good standing
- Be enrolled in or accepted into an accredited post-high school education institution
- Complete the scholarship application by the deadline
- Submit an official copy of their most recent school transcript (copies or printouts from the school’s website will not be accepted)
- Submit a 500-word essay on the following topic: “Describe what the modern labor movement means to you.”
